How is I.K.O.T?

 EVENT PROPER
1.       Assembly/ Check-in: Before RUNNING
o        RUNNERS may come in anytime between 6:00am-6:00pm.
o        They MUST surrender unsolicited tickets before they start.
o        RUNNERS must check in before they start.
o        RUNNERS must read and understand the FINAL RULES & REMINDERS.
o        Any concerns and clarifications must be brought up to the Race Committee.
o        Bibs, any form of event identification etc. (if there are any) must be worn at all times, until the end of the event (6:00PM).
o        Any personal items, including own hydration, nutrition, dry clothes/shoes, must be dropped off at the baggage area.

2.       IKOT
o        Once the RUNNER is accomplished all procedures above, he/she may start the IKOT.
o        Note: Each IKOT starts and ends at the TARGET POINT. Special Markers/ Flags will be placed in that spot for easy identification.
o        RUNNERS must start and end at the TARGETPOINT in order for thatIKOT to be counted.
o        MARSHALLS, at least 2, will be handing out WRIST BANDS (Cheap rubber bands in short) to RUNNERS will pass the TARGET POINT.
o        MARSHALL #1: Positioned on the LEFT SIDE of the Oval close to the grass, will distribute wristbands for ODD NUMBER BIBS.
o        MARSHALL #2: Positioned on the RIGHT SIDE of the oval, closer to the outer lane, will distribute wristbands for EVEN NUMBER BIBS.

o        RUNNERS MUST approach the MARSHALLS to claim their wrist bands once they crossed the TARGET POINT.
o        In case wristbands are completely consumed, MARSHALLS will be taking note of the number of IKOT. RUNNERS will shout their number as they pass by the TARGET POINT.
Same rule, ODD NUMBERS must approach MARSHALL #1; EVEN NUMBERS must approach MARSHALL #2.
o        RUNNERS may stop and decide to take a break at any time during their IKOT. However, they must get off the runner’s lane and head to the REST AREA immediately.
o        RUNNERS may use the restroom, change,eat, sleep, chat or rest any time within the 5-5 period.
o        RUNNER must start at the TARGET POINT once they are ready to IKOT again, after taking a break.
o        RUNNERS are required to stay inside the oval premises (that includes the Restroom) at ALL TIMES.
o        RUNNERS who need to leave the oval are still qualified to run once they return. They must do a CHECK-OUT before leaving, and CHECK-IN upon arrival.  However, RUNNERS who will leave will have to pay P1.00/ minute (Elapsed Time = CHECK OUT time – CHECK IN Time), before they are allowed to run again.

3.       HYDRATION/ NUTRITION AVAILABILITY
o        Hydration for all RUNNERS will be available, plus some easy to pick snacks (banana, biscuits, egg). RUNNERS must provide their own WATER CONTAINER.
o        RUNNERS may place their own hydration or towels at the side outside the outer lane, where they could easily pick it up and drop it off.
o        RUNNERS must be self-sufficient to provide their own FOOD and HYDRATION.
o        Absolutely NO LITTERING & LOITERING.
o        Absolutely NO EATING during IKOT (Eating is not allowed on the track lanes; However, you quickly pick up your snacks on the side, and eat discretely if possible).

4.       OFFICIAL NUMBER OF IKOTS
o        WRISTBANDS must be surrendered to the committee before CHECK OUT (leaving the oval premises), regardless if RUNNER decides to run again upon return or not.  Surrendered wristbands will be counted by the Runner and the committee, and will be recorded right away.
o         If the RUNNER returns and decides to run again, there is no need to claim the surrendered wristbands.
o        RUNNERS may wear or may keep their wristbands during break time.
o        At exactly 5:00PM, runners must finish their IKOT, and proceed to the committee for wristband checking. 
o        Official number of IKOTS will be based from the committee’s count, and NOT from the RUNNERS. 
o        CERTIFICATES will be handed out right away, as soon as the committee has counted and validated the official number of IKOTS.
